Why use coated papers ?

All inkjet printers can print onto normal photocopier paper, however, photocopier papers are absorbent causing the inks to spread into the paper and produce a low image quality when compared to coated papers - colours are dull and the image looks washed out. Whether or not you print your high quality image onto coated or uncoated paper, the printer can use between 40 cents and $1.00 worth of ink on photocopier papers, depending on the amount of colour on the image.

Coated papers will generally cost far less than the ink used to produce the images. If you want to print the best quality image, use Celcast quality coated papers for professional presentation.
